Student Welfare Shepparton ACE Secondary College has a Masters qualified Social Worker and child safety officer who has over 20 years’ experience in support and advocacy for young people and their families. There is a strong focus on anti bullying approaches, individual responsibility and ensuring that the school is a safe, supportive and responsive place of learning, community participation and engagement. Some of the supports provided include:
General counselling (long and short term)
Psychotherapy
Home visits
Mediation (students & families)
Advocacy for those in the mental health system
Family support and advice
Homelessness advocacy and support
Referrals as required
