Student Welfare
Shepparton ACE Secondary College has a Masters qualified Social Worker and child safety officer who has over 20 years’ experience in support and advocacy for young people and their families. There is a strong focus on anti bullying approaches, individual responsibility and ensuring that the school is a safe, supportive and responsive place of learning, community participation and engagement.
Some of the supports provided include:

•  General counselling (long and short term)
• Psychotherapy
• Home visits
  
• Mediation (students & families)
• Advocacy for those in the mental health system
• Family support and advice
• Homelessness advocacy and support
• Referrals as required

Communications will be treated confidentially on a “need to know basis” 
Whenever there are concerns that a child is in immediate danger the Police should be called on 000."
